This race is a statistical tie in almost all of the recent polls. Tied, in a state where the last Senate race came down to just 20,217 votes.

We don’t have much time. More than half of Michiganders vote before Election Day. Tonight, people are sitting at their kitchen tables filling in the scantron bubbles next to “Abdul El-Sayed” or the other guy.

That’s exactly why AIPAC just announced they’re spending another $9 million to sink us.

We lived through this in the primary, when AIPAC spent the lion’s share of nearly $70 million against us. We ended up winning by just 1%. Because even though we had incredible grassroots support, the ad dollars purchased by AIPAC were very real and very effective at moving votes against us.

The only reason it didn’t bury us then was because people like you kept showing up with $5 and $20 and whatever you could give. Grassroots money is how we answer this $9 million.

So we’re doing something we’ve never done in this little time. We are launching a campaign to raise $9 million in grassroots money. Dollar for dollar to match AIPAC. It’s AIPAC vs. our nurses, our autoworkers, our volunteers, our people.

I am not asking us to outspend AIPAC. I am asking us to match them. So that every smear and ad they run against us gets an answer with our positive agenda: Money out of politics. Money in your pocket. Medicare for All.

I know how much I’ve asked of you in this campaign. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am. But this is the moment. We don’t want to wake up on November 4th with regrets.
